Description:
Classic, is a short film written and directed by Michelle Kaumeyer Hoffman. It follows a young woman's journey as she copes with the (impending) death of her beloved Uncle Joe.
Joe never married. He never had kids of his own. The one thing he loved most in this world was his car. Everyone knew it. But, Jenn saw a different side to her father's older, ecentric brother. Joe was always there for her growing up after her mother left. She looked up to him. She wanted to be just like him. At Joe's (Living Funeral Party) celebration of life, the only thing people talked about was Joe and his car. They were a package deal for over 25 years. “Who would get the car” they wondered? But to Jenn, the car was a beautiful reminder of her childhood and the influence Joe had on it.
Inspired by a true story, the film showcases how an old, silver 1996 Porsche 911 with over
200,000 miles of memories, helped a young woman cope. Classic is a film about family, love, loss, and finding a way to move on.
Classic has entered pre-production and is scheduled to film in June 2024.
